Received my mandoline today, the amazon bag was open, the box was bruised, and the food holder was missing. I'm not too happy but I really needed it and I tried it out with the provided protective gloves. Slicing, large julienne and smaal julienne is working great so I won't return it but someone really need to check either the product when sending it out or when delivering it to the customer.

 

It absolutely does not work. Knob very hard to turn. This mandoline does not slice, it does not julliens. It shreds your vegs into random pieces. Handle completely useless does not hold the vegs.

I love this slicer! I have tried numerous slicers over 4 decades, spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars, but kept going back to my grandmothers old 1940's metal slicer! Our Family Holiday Meal Prep Tradition has been for me to seriously cut myself on that old, rusty slicer! Sadly true!I needed a new slicer and really scrutinized all of the options available on Amazon.com, because I'm now in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and Amazon is the only on-line merchant to ship to St. Thomas.This mandolin slicer interested me because:-It was a one piece slicer. No additional parts and pieces to keep track of.-It had No loose changeable blades. The blades are all attached-It had a dial on the side that changed slicing thickness and style of slice; NO fussing with individual sharp blades!-It had a built-in, collapsible stand to have the right angle for slicing and then it can be stored flat in a drawer-It had a separate hand held food holder with movable grippers to hold the food item and protect your hands-It was made of a quality metal to be very sturdy & is rust resistant.-It was dishwasher safe!It was the only one that I've seen with all of those attributes for such a good price. So, I decided to give it a try and placed the order. It shipped quickly to St. Thomas, USVI - 1,000 miles south of Miami, FL across the Atlantic!I used it for the first time last night and love it! It was everything the Amazon description said it was! The tomato for the BLT's was so easy to slice and easy to adjust the desired thickness. The hand held food holder worked great - better than expected. Then I just put it through the dishwasher! And, then it stored easily in a drawer! I'm very pleased with this purchase after searching for a good slicer for over 40 years! I highly recommend it to everyone.

Jahrelang haben wir mit Mandolinen aus Plastik rumhantiert, die nach einem guten Jahr kaputt waren. Vor 4 Wochen haben wir uns nun dieses richtig tolle Teil bestellt. Wir geben es nicht mehr her!Mir sind die negativen Rezensionen absolut schleierhaft (vor allem die, in der der Halter durch das Pressen auf die Schneide zerbröselt - ja meine Güte, man hört doch auf zu schneiden, wenn das Schneidgut fertig ist und nur noch der Halter über die Schneide reibt).Also, das Teil ist sehr hochwertig, das Teil steht abolut stabil, die Schneide ist sehr scharf und sehr einfach einzustellen (vor allem endlich mal auch auf hauchdünn!!!), die Schneide ist spielend zu entnehmen, das Reinigen ist in 1/2 Minute unter fleißend Wasser erledigt. Da Edelstahl verbeiben auch beim Raspeln von Möhren keine Farbveränderungen wie bei den Teilen aus Plastik.Harte Möhren, weiche Gurken, Tomaten, Pilze, Zwiebeln - alles funktioniert perfekt, egal ob Scheiben oder Stifte.Es wurden eine Reinigungsbürste und ein paar Handschuhe mitgeliefert. Die Handschuhe halten wirklich (ich war überrascht), was sie versprechen: Man schneidet sich nicht in die Finger, auch wenn man direkt über die Scheide gleitet.Die zum Verstellen und Reinigen hochklappbare Fläche sitzt an einer Seite nicht 100% gerade, was aber kein Problem darstellt, da man beim Schneiden diese Fläche ja mit dem Schnittgut runterdrückt. Das Schiefsein ergibt sich aus der Hochklappbarkeit, nach genauer Betrachtung hätte man dies nur durch eine sehr dicke Fläche Edelstahl verhindern können, was wiederum das Teil erheblich schwerer hätte werden lassen. Also alles gut so.Sehr gut empfinde ich auch die schräge Schneide (also keine V-förmige Schneide, bei der sich im V immer alles verharkt).Das Teil ist absolut standfest, der Abstand zum Untergrund ist absolut ausreichend, man kann eine ganze Gurke hobeln und es ist immer noch Platz zwischen Teil und Teller.Wir sind 100% zufrieden.

Professionale. Ed ho già detto tutto. Taglio facile e preciso da 1 mm di spessore ad 1 cm. Chips di patate in pochi secondi e certamente più salutari di quelle comprate nei sacchetti. Julienne di frutta e verdura per snack veloci. Per la pulizia basta metterla sotto l'acqua e poi asciugarla con carta. Coprilama per la sicurezza e corredata di guanto antitaglio e grip ferma pezzo. Un articolo indispensabile in cucina. Preparatevi a dire addio alle altre mandoline.

Den fungerar mycket bra och är extremt skarp i början, men för att behålla skärpan bör dentas isär för rengöring, torkas och eventuellt slipas i framtiden. Det finns ingen bra förklaring till isärtagandet och rengöringen, så jag använder blomsprej och matpinnar för att ta bort rester säkert och effektivt.Det är lite krångligt att sätta ihop den helt korrekt varje gång och vill gärna bli lite sned tills man lyckas. I övrigt är den jättebra och stabil. Använd gärna en bakplåt för uppsamling under och packa inte undertill.
