I bought this just prior to preparing a meal for a group of eight. I needed to slice onions for the large batch of French Onion Soup. I needed to cut up apples for an Apple Matchstick Slaw. Then, of course, cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes needed to be chopped up for the salads. I got through those jobs quickly an easily. The onion slices were uniform in thickness and led to high quality soup. Not to mention many fewer tears than when slicing by hand. Slicing those apples to match sticks by hand would have been next to impossible. All of the slicing for the salads would have taken so much more time with a unit like this.The unit has a quality feel to it and the blades are very sharp. As other reviews mentioned, one must be careful, else it would be possible to slice off a finger tip.As other reviews mentioned, when finished slicing there is a bit left over that is either wasted or requires chopping by hand.On the wish list would be an attachment for larger julienne slicing. If the ones included, the small size is great for shredding and the larger worked great for match stick sized pieces. So, as is, one could not make potato french fries without using one of the slicers and running them through twice.It seems it's hard to find one of these that does everything. I rated this one high because it is a high quality build at a reasonable price and does everything the advertisement stated it would do.

This was definitely one of those things that I didn't know I needed... Until I had it. This thing is awesome! Slicing and chopping sometimes takes the most time when preparing a meal or salad or snack and sometimes I truly do not have the time to dedicate to hand slicing everything. This Mandolin Food Slicer cuts your time so that I can focus on other parts of the dish or get a little distracted by my toddler, with no worries!I love the sturdiness and design of this food slicer. It is made of high quality stainless steel and I know that it will withstand a lot of slicing! My mom had a different mandolin slicer when I was younger and always talked about it feeling like she was going to slice her fingers off! Not a good feeling! Thankfully Chef's Inspirations thought of safety when making this product and have a fantastic slicing guard that is very easy to use with no worries to your fingers!I love that there are so many blade options and love that they tuck away in an included storage case to put away as needed. The three different sizes and the two julienne slicing blades are all you would need for any type of vegetable, fruit, meat and cheese that would need to be sliced. I love that I can have nice, even slices for cooking or serving!Thank you to Chef’s Inspirations for the opportunity to try this Mandolin Food Slicer at a reduced price. La mandolina è robusta e realizzata con cura. I materiali sono ottimi e l'acciaio inox la rende scorrevole, resistente e facile da pulire. Il funzionamento non è immediato, ma ci si prende la mano dopo poco.CONFEZIONELa scatola arriva senza il classico sigillo: male. All'interno:- la mandolina;- 6 accessori per il taglio;- il classico porta ortaggi;- un guanto;- una spazzolina;- il porta accessori.FUNZIONAMENTOI vari accessori si incastrano bloccandosi col bottone rosso: il meccanismo non è molto preciso.Le lame sono protette da una guaina e sono molto taglienti, tuttavia il taglio non è molto scorrevole e si deve spingere con decisione e non troppo veloce. Molto stabile e resistente alla pressione, il funzionamento è un po' macchinoso, ma dopo poco si trova il ritmo giusto. Lo scarto che lascia senza tagliare è abbondante. Nel portainserti non entra quello a grattugia.CONCLUSIONIOttima se acquistata in offerta, io l'ho presa a circa 25€ a Febbraio 2020. A prezzo pieno è un buon acquisto, ma niente di speciale. La confezione senza sigillo lascia l'amaro in bocca. Il funzionamento è molto meno agevole di quello che si può immaginare, ma il risultato che si riesce ad ottenere con una buona dose di impegno è ottimo, come da aspettative. Il portainserti è progettato male ed è realizzato con materiali scadenti, mentre il resto è eccellente. La robustezza e l'acciaio inox conferiscono "valore" alla mandolina.Spero di essere stato d'aiuto.
