Clairefontaine Simili Japon Papier, 24 x 32 cm, 130 g, 25 vellen

I’ve found this paper before and very much like the colour which is ivory and the quality of Lino prints I can make using it

This is not,despite its name Japanese. It is Clairfontaine's excellent lightweight, 60lb, dark cream, extra smooth Japanese style printing paper. Its size will give an A4 print with a margin of just over 1 cm. It is very good quality, acid-free, good value for money and ,in addition to the purposes mentioned, is really good for linocut. If you want very bright colours get some bright white Strathmore and save this one for your single colour prints or slightly more muted colourways.This is a good option for the printmaker who wants to try out a Japanese style paper without paying the eye-watering price for the genuine article.
