I have been wanting to make a yo yo quilt for years, and finally got around to starting the project. I am so glad I discovered this yo yo maker! I had never made yo yo's before, and I think without this it would take twice as long to make them. If you intend to make an entire quilt it is going to take a LONG time anyway, so it is great to have this handy gadget. I am still a beginner, but can easily make 15 yo yo's in one hour using this. I don't measure exactly, but cut fabric squares just a tiny bit bigger than 4x4". (I already had a lot of small fabric scraps on hand) This makes a yo yo that measures 1 3/4" in diameter. The only way this could be improved would be if there were markings on both of the plastic pieces so you would know exactly where they need to be snapped together. Sometimes you have to play around with them a bit to get them to "click", and firmly sandwich the fabric in place. There are a lot of You Tube tutorials you can watch if you need further instruction on how to use this. I watched a couple of those, and that helped clarify the instructions printed on the package. I highly recommend this product.
