I like these. I bought them to do a temporary repair to my pants cuff until I could unpack our sewing machine. The black color helped to make them less visible, but the sturdiness kept the cuff in place for several days where normal safety pins would have bent and pulled out within a day or two. The “lock” portion of the pin is made out of the basic wire without any sheet metal shroud. It works, but more importantly, it’s fun. I like that. I hope enough people also enjoy that sort of thing that the manufacturer can keep making these pins.
