Indeed, I don't use the pencil sharpeners to sharpen pencils: I bought them because of the blades, including the screws.I use them when 3D printing to make the beginning of the filament conical. That is necessary when 'multicolor' printing with an automatic feed unit, in this case the MMU3.Each blade is placed in a 3D-printed holder and that's it. With good sharp blades you can make nice cones and they ensure that the unit loads smoothly, because without them it is a fiddly job without end!And if the blades last a reasonable amount of time, I will be even more satisfied than I am now!

I have had these pencil sharpeners for awhile now & they have been durable for the money I paid for them! I was not disappointed. The pencils get sharpened very nicely as well.A tip for all of you artists out there....While I was in high school, my art teacher told me that if you drop your nice expensive drawing pencils (even your cheap ones!) the lead inside of "said pencil" will break. Chances are, everytime you go to sharpen the pencil you've dropped, the lead will break off everytime you want that nice sharp tip. It can be very frustrating to say the least! So when you buy those high quality drawing pencils.....TRY not to drop them!So word to the wise:****It's not really the expensive pencil sharpener you just purchased that's causing you to wreak havoc! It's really the broken lead inside of your pencils!****I've thrown out more than I can remember! ❤️Thank you for the good quality pencil sharpeners!
