Thread is unravelling and I've been using it for less than two months. Also, the outside of the tongue (the bit that wraps around the weight) is slippery, so I had to add duct tape so that I could take my grip out of the kinetic chain. However, the rest of the design is great. I bought them because I was sick of my old cloth straps cutting into my wrists. These have a wide and thick padding at the wrist, so problem solved. I would recommend Cobra change their manufacturer/supplier to one that can produce better sewed edges. And also to change the material on the outside of the tongue so that there is better grip so that I don't have to use my grip when I want to focus the resistance on other areas.

I purchased the PRO Black Leather Cobra Grips and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the product. The style is by far my favourite on the market, and the quality leather, stitching, and design comes together perfectly (while being much cheaper than alternative grips on the market). It is also very comfortable and functional: the padding feels very nice (and makes sure the grips don’t slide around during a lift), and it helps in my lifts so much that my max deadlift increased by 30lbs from my last session. Another nice added benefit is wrist support; I personally put the grips on during my bench and squat to help with wrist stability. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about bodybuilding or powerlifting.

These are excellent lifting tools. Previously I was using standard weight lifting straps and I was skeptical about these gloves, but I am glad I gave them a try, and now they are always in my gym bag. For me this solved two problems: 1) I found regular lifting straps to be quite uncomfortable on my wrists (and my wrists were injured a bit lately). These lifting gloves are much more comfortable on the wrists, so I feel safer about them. 2) It can be hard to use regular straps in some scenarios. For example, to setup straps on a pullup bar. Putting them on a bar for deadlifts are easier, since you can rotate them and adjust, but pullup bar is fixed. These straps are much easier to put. And in general they are much quicker for everything. I have tried both leather and rubber versions, and I liked both of them. I also tried some other brands, but I liked these much more: they are more comfortable, have better padding, and in general the craftmanship is good. I can definitely recommend them!

Better support than wrist wraps, also function like straps for deadlifts. Helped a lot when my hands were hurting (arthritis). Essential bit of kit for me now...
