The inks are good quality. They aren't as bright as genuine cartridges, so probably not the best for printing photos, but fine for everyday use. But the inks are amazing value for money.The kit has everything you need to refill printer cartridges, but the instructions aren't great. There are lots of videos online showing the exact process, but I'll outline it here.1. Peel off the label from the top of the printer cartridge.2. Locate the little filling hole.3. Widen the filling hole using the tool provided (it's like a little drill).4. Clean off any plastic dust with some wet toilet roll. You don't want that dust getting in the cartridge.5. Mount the cartridge on the provided stand. The stand has a removable, silicone base that needs to be installed. It protects the jets on the bottom from damage and is easy to clean.6. PUT GLOVES ON AND COVER YOUR WORK SURFACE. This ink doesn't wash off easily.7. Attach the needles to the syringes and fill them with the ink. Avoid getting too many bubbles in.8. Insert the needle as far as it will go into the hole in the cartridge, but be gentle.9. Slowly push the plunger. Going too quickly will cause ink to bubble out and make a mess.10. When a little pool of ink flows out of the hole, it's full. Wipe the excess and reapply the sticker. If the sticker won't stick, you can tape it on.11. Wash all your tools before the ink dries. Once the ink dries in the needles or syringe, it's a pain to get it out.12. Run a few deep nozzle cleans on your printer to get it the ink flowing again.Your printer will likely not recognise the cartridge as full, you'll need to look up how to override that for your printer. My Canon printer just needed a few button presses, but other makes might be more difficult.IMPORTANT: If you are refilling a colour cartridge, make sure to look up which holes are for which colour (a quick search for "how to refill X cartridge" will bring up a "map" of the location of the colours. There's no fixing it if you've put the wrong colour in.Just a note on old ink cartridges. If no ink is coming through, it might be that some old ink has dried up in the jets. I used a cotton bud and warm water to clean them out. Just wipe the bottom of the cartridge with the wet cotton bud and rinse under a warm tap. Then wet a piece of kitchen roll and wipe the cartridge across it. Once clean, it should leave a streak of ink.I cleaned out a cartridge that was empty and sat unused for at least 2 years and got it working again, but it took a while.Cartridges will wear out eventually and need to be discarded. If you've cleaned the print head and you are getting white streaks, it's probably time to discard.
