These were comfortable right out of the box. Wore them for the first time with no breaking in on a 5 mile hike on dirt, sandy beach, rugged parched and rocky trails, and through streams. I walked through the stream and surf and the shoes were completely dry, the water just beading off. Socks dry. No blisters. No foot soreness. Love that. They are a bit heavy, but not enough for me to want to look for a different pair.I usually wear a 9-9.5 in athletic shoes, 8.5-9 in street shoes (heels, flats, boots). My foot is exactly 10" long and slightly narrow, although I usually take a medium width. The 9 fit perfectly. Highly recommend!

Truly are waterproof. Highly recommend.

Not fully waterproof and had to go half a size up than all my other shoes. Also the toe box of the shoe isn't the most comfortable but overall OK dog if you're walking your dog through fields that aren't sodden

Wow... these shoes saved my trip to NYC! First things first, these shoes were comfortable and I loke the look of themThey're pretty rigid which I liked and there was no rubbing or concerns for blistering after long walks throughout the city (no crazy hiking or anything though). Well, it poured so hard (we knew ahead of time there would be rain which is why I brought these shoes with me) while we were there... all... day... long. I was completely soaked from head to ANKLE & I will say that my feet were completely dry! My friends were miserable & complaining of foot rot, but mine were dry as ever! It actually made the downpour much easier to tolerate! I tried to avoid deep puddles, so I'm sure with a large enough puddle it would have soaked though (at least from the top), however, I am now a true Columbia fan with these shoes! Highly highly highly recommend because you never know when you're gonna need them!!
