I've been wearing these on shorter walks around town in order to 'break them in' and see how they fair before some longer hikes planned later in September. One little negative is that they seem to rub on one particular spot on both my ankles which causes a small blister. Now I have swollen ankles because of thyroid issues so I'm guessing this the cause. There was an easy fix however. I just place a band-aid on both ankles in the spot that rubs before walking and it seems to have fixed the issue. As for the water resistance I've yet to go for a walk in the rain so I cannot comment on that as yet. I will do an update in down the track as to water resistance and shoe longevity.

I could start walking with them right away, never gave me blisters, which is very rare in my case. But the fabric under the shoelaces is notwater resistant and even with mild rain my socks were wet.
