Columbia NEWTON RIDGE PLUS II WATERPROOF heren Hiking Shoe, Cordovan, Squash, 48 EU

These are the first boots that have lasted me more than 6 months and I am hard on walking boots. I have used these at least 2 to 3 times a week and normaly do about 8 to 10 kms each time. They are still waterproof but the sole is just about worn out, the laces finally gave up about 3 weeks ago. To sum up I would recommend these to anyone who want a good solid boot that is comfortable from the first day and has plenty of grip.

Absolut keine Kaufempfehlung!Nach nicht einmal 100 Wanderkilommetern kann ich die Schuhe wegschmeißen.Sind bereits mein zweites Paar Columbia Wanderschuhe, das erste Paar war leider auch nicht wirklich besser, aber weil der Tragekomfort gut war und ich dachte einfach nur Pech gehabt zu haben, hab ich mir die geholt!Die Nähte gehen an verschiedenen Stellen des Schuhs auf, dass soll also Markenqualität sein?Dadurch bietet der Schuh natürlich eine negativen Wasserschutz...was für Küstenwanderungen einfach nur frustrierend ist!Hab die Schuhe für über 100 Euro gekauft, aber für die paar Wanderungen eine totale Enttäuschung und am liebsten würde ich mein Geld zurück verlangen!Finger weg von Columbia!

It's VERY hard for someone as tall as me at 6'9'' to trust anyone online for clothes and especially shoes. I really prefer trying things on first just to know it's going to fit how abnormally tall I am. I took a shot at buying these in my usual size of 15 and they fit great. Very tight initially and it's going to take a while to wear-in but I think that's a good sign.For hiking I'm not too sure, as I prefer a low top shoe for that. These are above the ankle and stiff as a board so it would be awkward I would think to hike in these. At least for me.I'll update this later if it's not waterproof or acting off. For now.. Great price, Good Shoes.

These boots are awesome. I used to wear tennis shoes as a dude with bigger feet since they are usually the easiest to find sizes in, but these have made me swear em off. The boots themselves are solid, wear I used to tear through shoes in a shirt few months, I have had these for about half a year, and the only noticable damage is a small but of the gray/tan area near the bottom had a cut. Besides that, anything on the leather itself can be easily wiped off with some windex (it's all I usually have) and a rag.If you are used to wearing tennis shoes, it will take a while to get used to these boots. The inside soles will feel a it harder at first, but like every other shoe you will break it in. Tying them is also very weird at first, since if you tighten them as much as you can your ankles will have less mobility that you are used to, but they proved better support. I used to roll my ankle all the time, but I honestly can't remember the last time I did that recently. I dont do anything extreme in these, I work at a fast food job, so I dont go hiking with them.Overall, the comfort and feel of these boots is awesome, the up keep is really simple, and the ankle support is really solid for every day use.

I wear a 15 and the 15 of this brand was way too tight so I got a 15 wide and boom, problem solved. I've been wearing these for a couple of months now and I've put them through the ringer using them for hiking, working and general walking around and I love them. They are actually waterproof, I've walked through several streams and got ankle deep in mud with them and my feet stayed perfectly dry. They are extremely comfortable too. For me I'm a huge dude so I always replace the insoles with gel comfort arch support insoles so I can't speak for the ones that come standard but the interior of the boots are nice and soft and they keep your feet nice and warm in below freezing weather. I will definitely buy another pair at some point.
