5 stars for the small but 1 for the medium.I was worried my 2 Labradoodle siblings wouldn’t take to a harness having only used collars. My little girl takes after her miniature poodle daddy and my little boy is medium sized, more Lab. The small used to fit comfortably on them both and was fabulous. Very strong fasteners. They love them so much they’re now used for walking. My little boy is a tad anxious and this vest seems to help him stay calm out and about, including playing off lead in the park with other dogs.The problem is that at 10 months the small is now tight on the boy. I bought the medium but it’s huge. He got a fright out walking and easily wiggled out of this medium harness, even on the tightest setting. I was shocked. Luckily a kind man managed to catch him for me. It’s unlikely the medium will ever fit him and I’m now looking for a medium in another brand.

This is the third harness I've bought. I tried it out with my dog today and I'm quite impressed with it. The previous harnesses I had, one was the RAC one and I was concerned it was a bit cumbersome and heavy for my dog without providing any proper chest support - it didn't seem to be crash tested; she also got tangled in it a lot. The other one was better but was the type that had the attachment you clip into the seatbelt, which firstly was too short meaning doggo had to lay down; and secondly used to malfunction in the belt clip, either by coming out or, possibly worse, getting stuck so I couldn't remove it. After the last of these incidents I decided to get something better for her.So on to this harness. At first glance it looks very sturdy and secure with a good padded chest piece. Doggo did not like it being put over her head at all (only way to get it on) but we have the same battle with her walking harness so this isn't too much of a negative. I was worried the head gap was a bit small and the chest plate a bit high but actually once on her I think it was fine.As other reviewers have said, she did tend to turn sideways in the car once it was strapped in but I was confident she was secure and she managed not to get tangled in it on either journey. She's a whizz at tangling herself up on seatbelts so this was a plus.I particularly liked that I could just use it as a walking harness once we got out of the car. She went for the walk very happily wearing it. It's the first car harness that has truly worked for this.One thing I would say is, I bought the small. I have a just under 10kg Parson Russell cross who measures 56cm chest. The small advertises for 50-60cm and up to 15kg. But my dog was right on the top end of it and the straps had to be put on the biggest possible. It made for a secure fit but I almost considered returning it for a medium. I think a 14kg dog with a 60cm chest would most definitely need to size up. My dog should have been in the middle of the sizing range - she's not a fat dog in any way. So if your dog is near the top of the given measurements I'd size up.All in all, this isn't perfect but I'm happy I bought it. I think for under £30 it's a good piece of kit.
