I recently spent ten hours replacing the water pump, water pump pulley, friction drive, crank seal, crank pulley, auxiliary belt and belt tensioner on my Mini R56. Imagine my delight when the new Febi belt started screaming just two minutes into the test drive. Long story short - fitting a Conti belt sorted it. The Conti belt feels much better quality than the Febi equivalent and, more importantly, runs silently out of the box (so far). As the title says - I won't be touching any other drive belt brands after this.
