Continental Banden racefiets Grand Prix 4-Season, Double Vectran Breaker en DuraSkin

Received a faulty tyre. Only noticed it after about 300 km and the company doesn't want to replace it because it is a wear item.Normally those tyres will go a long distance, about 5000 km with good performance, but don't count on any costumer service should you receive it in a bad condition.

As a long time London commuter, never had a puncture with these. Never let me down, I put them on all the family's bikes.

Bought these for added protection. I ride 25 miles a day on various conditions of dry/wet/stones/thorns/glass. Tread is not much, but my hope is it is enough for the wet conditions. Smooth ride even with the tread. Wish they had directional information to provide peace of mind on the water shedding aspect.Update: 2-months and my first flat. The tread had a big gash about the second week. It did not go through then it lasted another 1.5 months before the flat so guess the high TPI worked. Retrospect, I would probably save the money and buy a thicker walled tire. The thin wall would be nice for racing or something, but not worth it for commute. Tread is just enough to help stop sliding under wet conditions.Update: 6-months and several flats later. Every tire will get a flat so not too worried about that. My back tire is really worn and the front is looking pretty good. I need to rotate them (should have done sooner) to even the wear. The side-wall gash in the second week was in my front tire. Now the back has a 1/4" long gash that went through and cause several flats until I found it. Installed a vulcanizing patch on the inside of the tire and has held for the last two weeks. I just bought a less expensive tire (1/2 this price) but will wait until these can do no more to compare. Still a good tire, but if any tire will have problems, might as well save a little money.

Voto scontato, i Continental si posizionano da sempre al top fra i copertoncini per bici da corsa.Io in tanti anni e piu' di 185mila km, ho usato prodotti Michelin,Victoria,Veloflex,Vredestein,Deda,Specialized, passando dai 19/21mm fino agli attuali 25mm e di ognuno ho apprezzato i pregi, ma anche scontato i difetti.Alla fine credo che i grand prix 4 seasons, utilizzabili tutto l'anno e particolarmente indicati per condizioni metro/stradali gravose, per me che ricerco in un copertoncino durata,affidabilita',grip e resistenza alle forature e facilita' di montaggio siano proprio in cima alla classifica. Non saranno i migliori per quanto riguarda la morbidezza ( i Veloflex sono imbattibili), magari meno scorrevoli rispetto ai Michelin, forse con meno grip se paragonati ai Victoria, ma sicuramente sono sempre tra i primi per quanto riguarda le singole caratteristiche.Inoltre chiaramente al primo posto per quanto riguarda il sistema antiforatura; ovviamente non sono imperforabili, ma con i sistemi Double Vectran Breaker e DuraSkin gli inconvenienti si riducono sensibilmente.Se proprio devo fare un appunto a Continental riguarda la mancanza della freccia che indica il senso di rotazione: ma perche' non la mettono, cosa gli costera' mai?
