Is exactly the right length, cleans the bottom of the bowl of flour.I Thought it was hitting the sides but realized my bowl was dented, perfect clearance when I reshaped it.Reduced my kneading time by about a third, with a more thorough blend.I bought this as it had a dough trap at the top, makes a difference to the amount it climbs up.Clean up was quick, very easy to wash.A good replacement for the kitchenmaid hook kneader (which is pretty poor).

Acheté pour pétrir ma pate a pizza et en remplacement du crochet original de mon kitchen aid artisan qui commençait à s’effriter. Celui ci n’est pas peint et semble de meilleure qualité. Il pétrit bien la pâte et ne touche pas le fond de la cuve.

Good quality, sturdy and will last me years. I bought this as the white painted attachments are said to have lead paint once chipped from Kitchen Aid itself. The bid sick over the top of this attachment does make a bit harder to pour dry ingredients while actively mixing but if lifted it is no problem. Definitely recommend as an alternative to the painted ones provided
