It has a propriety rgb connector that can't connect to a normal rgb connector on the motherboard. so unless you plan to use more corsair stuff don't by this cooler.

It is a very good water block. The development and tech that went into producing this cooling block does give it better cooling performance than most alternatives. It is very easy to fit, very robustly made and looks really nice with the clear view down to the cooling fins and circulating water. For me that is a god send as it means I don't have to dismantle anything to see if there are any blockages or corrosion etc.It comes with everything you'd need for fitting (excluding threaded barbs or whatever connections you use on your cooling loop). Included are mounting plates for both Intel and AMD systems. The cooling plate has thermal paste pre-applied. Corsair claim it is a high heat transfer paste. It was certainly very convenient to not have to apply paste and the temperatures are in line with my expectations. ie. they are lower than my previous block that was a very high quality Raystorm milled from a huge block of solid copper.Less important to me, but considered none the less is the LED lighting. My system is setup so that the entire pc's led arrays all change colour simultaneously in accordance to temperature. However, now thanks to Corsair that no longer works. The stupidly bright blue white cooler led light never changes. You can not control the leds with anything other than Corsairs own janky buggy ecosystem. So I paid extra to have the stupid accessory box required by Corsair to use the leds on this cooler and guess what...... it does not work! I must admit I never expected it too. I am very familiar with Corsairs buggy software, but at least now I can prove it is a waste of every ones time and money.Cooling is great, fitting is great and it looks nice. LED's - forget or ignore them.

Great water block but you have to buy a power hub that cost another. $60.00 or it won't light up which it does not tell you. I had to also purchase another mounting kit to fit my gigabyte motherboard and that kit also didn't work so I had to Frankenstein a mounting bracket. which worked great.
