This light box was suprisingly light and slim at about 3 mm thick. This won't take up much space may possibly be fragile so care must taken in it's storage. It comes with a charging cord but is not a rechargeable item that will not store charge, it will always need to be plugged in at the mains, computer or power block when in use. The provided charge lead is 1.5 metres long.There are 3 levels of light intensity to choose from. When turned on you will see a black mesh but when a sheet of paper is placed over it you won't notice the mesh at all. An A4 sized sheet of paper sits comfortably on this with added extra space on edges. The light is evenly distributed.

Crafter's Companion A4 LED Light PadThe light pad is powered by USB, and isn't rechargeable, so you need to plug the supplied 1.5m USB-C into a power source (no mains adapter included).Its very light and thin (~4mm), so probably not that robust - does come in a rigid lift lid cardboard box (37*27cm) so well worth using that to store it in.The 3 light levels are controlled by a touch sensitive pad, and the light is well distributed over the A4 area (30.5*23.5cm). The light is transmitted through a grey hexagonal grid, which shouldn't be an issue with most tracing/drawing designs.

Nice unit, in a4, which makes an amazing difference to backlight both diamond painting and drawing sessions. Supper product, but feels a little fragile if you want to take it out and about
