I've gone through any number of different surfaces - glass, aluminium, glue, painters tape, Kapton tape, PrintBite (which is great once dialled in, but _very_ fussy and not good for removable sheets). All can work under the right conditions but all require a lot of dialling-in time so none are ideal for quick-replace. The last one I bought had a supposedly sintered side which did not work even once & I gave up, and a smooth side which was stuck on the the steel sheet. The adhesive was so bad, it softened at 60°c and allowed the parts to warp by literally pulling the stuck-on PEI off of the steel! Utterly rubbish - it ended in the recycling bin.Because the rubbish one had come with a magnetic sheet (previously, I'd used clips) I wanted to try another brand but didnt want to pay for another magnetic I wouldnt use, & I gave this one a punt. It took me a few goes to dial in the optimum clearance as it sticks almost too well even with PLA, but since then, I've not had a single warp even on my bedslinger with no cabinet. And it sticks down to the magnet sheet so hard it takes real effort to lift it, so never had a layer shift due to the bed moving either. Where before I was a die-hard fan of PrintBite, this bed is cheaper, works even better, and is more convenient being flexible so popping parts off is easy. Great piece of kit and I shall definitely be getting another for quick swaps, to save having to let the bed cool & reheat between print jobs.
