I bought this for my 4yo and 7yo so they have something to do while waiting for the other's swimming lesson to finish. My 4yo is slowly doing it (about 10 stitches before he gets bored and wants me to do it/wants a story/colouring). My 7yo can do it without my help and has completed 2 of the 6 kits in the last 2 months. He usually struggles to sit still for long periods of time unless he is watching tv, but he is really taken with it. Great screen-free activity.The patterns are on the back of the box (although 7yo finds it easier to look at the photo of the finished picture rather than the pattern). It would be great if a separate pattern was provided, but I cut the patterns off the box and keep the bits we need in a sandwich bag rather than taking the whole box out with us.Really like this kit and have just bought another kit for a friend's 9yo daughter.
