After trying several bands, this fits perfect and it's thick enough for what I need it, diving with wet suit. I noticed 3mm allows you to do anything but 5mm loses dexterity and it's difficult to clip/un-clip snap bolts, etc. This one is a winner, warm enough for up to 8C and great dexterity as it's very elastic

I hate wetsuits and do not ever intend to wear one and I am enthusiastic about the benefits of cold water exercise. However in very cold water my fingers get cold before the rest of me. This prevents me from training for as long as would like to and also can leave me struggling to perform tasks requiring fine motor coordination (e.g. doing up bra straps) after exercise. This has lead to embarassing situations. These gloves will not keep your fingers dry, they will however stop them from getting as cold as they would if you did not wear them. Thus, without these gloves I might only be able to train for 20-30 minutes, with the gloves I can train for 1 hour + and still do up my bra strap when I leave the water. No more bra fumbling, frozen finger misery. What could be better!

I got the 3mm gloves. They’re great if you want to feel through them, but they do flush water which is expected with the softer neoprene. I wouldn’t consider that a negative since they’re thin. I used them down to 55F and I’d say that was too cold for 3mm. I do not think these would hold up to rough use in a wreck or pull and glide in a cave, but they’re not bad for the price. I’d probably buy them again.
