I got this to label my children’s items for daycare. I wanted something fun that they would be interested in and easily recognize their stuff. They are 1.5 and 3.5-years-old. Last year I used a shiny foil vinyl and it worked extremely well to label my oldest’s stuff.I tend to go “overboard” on collections and got full matching sets of everything for daycare for both my kids. I did this so everything in their sets obviously go together and won’t so easily end up in someone else’s backpack. I also got the blue holographic HTV and Permanent vinyl from Cricut for matching monogram labels to take this a step further. For the HTV vinyl, it was easy to weed even with my super dull blade. For one project, it worked a treat. That project had a mostly solid background with a few printed items on it. The other that had a busier background is a bit bothersome as the vinyl is transparent enough to see the print through the vinyl. I don’t usually mind this, but it is so transparent that the print is more visible than the monogram and it looks kind of off. If you move the fabric, the holographic nature means you can still read the monogram, but I would have gone with a foil vinyl had I been aware of the level of transparency of the vinyl and saved this for more solid projects.

Got it today and I already made my little girl a shirt. Came out fabulous I love it. I'm just not totally sure if it's going to hold up over time
