It's well worth reading the instructions! Then set up the sensitivity, length of alarm and even the alarm type and volume. I use minimum sensitivity and maximum volume and length. It's LOUD. As a tip, read how to stop the alarm before activating it. Blindingly obvious once you know (just a button on the fob) but it's embarrassing if you don'tEasily attached, in my case to the handlebars of my mobility scooter, using cable ties. Sticky pads were also provided, but I preferred to use my own ties as the provided ones were a bit narrow.
