Good performance, speed, signal range, and a very user-friendly administrative app. I loved the ability to set bandwidth for specific devices. This is my second purchase of Cudy, and the products are very good, as good as or better than other better-known brands.

Consigliatissimo!!!

A winner! After searching for a serious mesh-system (with fx. manual channel-selection) - I decided to try this one!And I got what I wanted!Contents:- Channel-Selection (to solve conflicts).- Access-Point Mode (after another router).- Wired Backhaul.- How is it, to setup this mesh-system?- Can one IRL use both App & webpage.- Conclusion: Buy Recommendation.------------------------Channel-Selection (to solve conflicts) :Most manufacturers, do NOT allow the customer to select wifi-channel.(they have got "an automatic SW-routine /algoritm", that can mess things up, etc.).("most manufacturers": TPLink, Linksys, Huawei, Xiaomi, Nokia, etc.).In contrast to these Cudy's,Where you just select "advanced settings" (under "Wifi").- where "Manual channel selection" is possible.(by default, channel selection is set to "auto").PS: One can also manually set channel width.(which is very helpfull, with 5GHz - because of the "badly designed" Wifi-6 standard, that has got problems with 160MHz)...I have tested a handfull of Wifi6-systems - and at our home, they all had problems, when I enabled 160MHz width.(their speed went drastically down - fx. from appr. 70MByte/s (with 80MHz) to appr. 20MByte/s (with 160MHz) !!)----Access-Point Mode (i.e. the Mesh placed after another router) :[signal path: "Fiber-etc" -> (wan) Router (wifi-disabled) (lan) -> Mesh].this is possible - and can be chosen BOTH in the App, AND from the webpage-admin page (from fx. a windows-browser).This should also be default (i.e. to use the Mesh to ONLY handle the Wifi) - but fx. Linksys's Velop-series cannot do this! (which is shockingly bad!).As "access-points", the mesh ONLY handles/distributes the wifi-signal in ones home.(and one has disabled Wifi at ones router).----Wired Backhaul :Also works seamlessly. My setup-process:1) cable from my router's (Asus) LAN-port -> the 2.5Gb port on one of the Cudy M3000's.2) and I got the first Cudy initiated - and selected "Access Point" mode during this proces.3) I then placed the second Cudy-M3000 close to the first, and did NOT cable them together.4) I then connected the second, and created the mesh (wireless-backhaul).5) I then moved the second M3000 to the "target"-room - and wired it up there, with a LAN-cable (that's RJ45-wired connected through 2 switches, to our router)...And, "BUUM" - it just worked - very fast (within appr. 15-20 seconds - the status-led lit "white")...It went so fast, that I questinoed in myself, whether the units had established a wired "inter-connection".6) Verifying wired backhaul:Cudy does not show this in their App (or I have not found it yet)...So, I went to their browser-admin page.Where I found the wired-backhaul status, and could be sure, that "wired-backhaul" was established...[how to verify this: "Browser-AdminPage" -> "System Status" -> "2" -> "Satellit/Node": "Backhaul = Wired"].----How is it, to setup this mesh-system?To set-up Mesh-Systems, is always somewhat confusing (for ?? reasons) => that is is usually a "trial-and-error process"...Some brands even make it into an hourly frustrating proces (Asus, Netgear, ..).With Cudy, this went relatively fast, and smooth!- with some "guessing",because I lacked some info & guidance sometimes. But the process went painless and fast - and it worked!----Can one IRL use both App & webpage? :I have included this, because there is some confusion.(partly because Cudy didn't have both possibilities implemented from the beginning).I can confirm, that here in march-2025 one can set-up & control Cudy Mesh-systems - BOTH through the App AND through the oldfashioned (and better) browser-admin-page!And, I can clarify, that one can control the mesh much better with Cudy, than with fx. TP-Link.(especially at the web-admin-page).----Conclusion: Buy Recommendation. The setup, was very fast!Cudy can improve on guidance underway (during setup). But, this is just minor nags. For an attractive price, one receives a very potent & versatile mesh-system.With fx. manual channel-selection (to swiftly handle conflicts with Zigbee, other Wifi-networks, Microwave-owens, etc.).And PS's:A) TriBand, and 6600Mbit/s, etc ... is = Bogus! Why? Because I.R.L., nearly ALL clients (Laptops, Mobiles, Tablets, etc) can ONLY handle 2x2 (because they only do have 2 antennas) - which includes ALL Intel wifi-cards (in Laptops) !!2) And, EVEN the AX3000 "standard" - with 2x2 at 160MHz => 2402 Mbit/s (theoretically):- well .. I haven't gotten 160MHz width to work - actually it made our wifi's speed decrease to appr. "wifi4"-speed (appr. 10-20MB/s).- so, I am stuck with Wifi6/AX 1202 MBit/s (2x2, 80MHz) - giving me appr. 60-90 MByte/s (below 5-7 metres distance to an A.P. /Mesh-unit).So - this M3000 is a very fine sweet-spot - due to it's prices & ESSENTIAL important settings. With the Cudy-M3000 system, one does NOT pay too much, for diluted VIP-specs (fx. Triband, 6600Mbit/s speeds). The 2.5Gb/s LAN-port, is overkill - but, when/if 160MHz finally gets to work IRL on the badly designed Wifi6-standard, then it might become usefull.(as it is, now - one gets up-to appr. 90 MB/s (appr. 0.8Gb/s) - making a 1.0 Gb/s LAN-port enough).Regarding Stability:- I cannot say this yet (fx. after running for 30 days).- but, I could seamlessly disconnect both the head-unit and node - and place them in the wanted wooms & places, after setting them up, close to my LAN-center (with router-etc)...i.e.: I have not seen any sign of anything else than ruggedness, so far.- and, as mentioned, I have experience, from trying quite a few Mesh-systems - fx. Ubiquity, Asus, TP-Link, Netgear, Nokia.- and only TP-Link comes close to Cudy, in terms of "easyness of setup & use".VERDICT: 5-STARs, AND MY 100% BUY-RECOMMENDATION !!!
