I absolutely LOVE these Cuisipro tongs. I've owned several of them, in several lengths. I find these 9.5" ones just perfect for everyday use. I have a 12" set and the Piccolo 7.5" size, too; great bt not my daily driver. They all have a lot of great features, but one of my favourites is that I can carry them hanging from a finger, as seen in the picture. That leaves my hands free to carry other things out to the BBQ or to the table.They don't scratch non-stick pans. They're stiff enough to pry things off BBQ grates. The red material (black on other pairs I own) is durable and hard to damage. The black ones pictured are the identical model, just at least 20 years old and still going strong. Yes, they show signs of wear, but not that much. I've had other tongs where you'll cut yourself on the metal if you put your finger in between them; these are not like that. Pull out the "finger ring" and they stay closed. The spring does not die over time.I like these so much I take them with me when travelling if I'm going to cook. I only bought these new ones because I left mine behind on my last trip! I'm not sure they'll last a lifetime, but it will be close. And the red colour is great.A must-own.

These 9.5" metal tongs with red plastic material covering the gripping area of the tongs are easy to use and easy to wash. I have another pair of Oxo tongs which are not as good at gripping or as easy to clean as these tongs are. The Cuisipro tongs are easy to open and close, too, and stay closed well. I use these daily and put them in the dishwasher. I have not used these to grip anything very heavy such as a large roast, but they are great for lighter things including doing chops / steaks in a pan and excellent for serving salad, as well. They fit my hands well and are comfortable to hold.
