Perfectly protecting the wrists from both sides, a bit bulky but it’s worth the protection

Brilliant Gloves. These gloves are hard to come by. They are great for keeping your hands warm but also fantastic protection when you have a fall on the snowboard. Also very easy to get on and off when needed.

Research states that the best wrist guard system to have is one that protects BOTH sides of the wrist. Most other wrist guard systems only protect the palm side. Those are fairly useless for snow sports and irresponsible of those manufacturerss. These Dakine gloves are the only ones I found that offer BOTH side protection. They are decent gloves.PROS:-Most ideal for snowboarders (you should still learn how to properly fall): DUAL SIDED WRIST PROTECTION!-Offer straps/lanyards so that you can secure the glove around your arm-Keeps your fingers and hands toasty-Simple design: easy to take on and off. They look simple too.CONS:-Much more expensive than it should be. These gloves should sell for around $30. However, these are the only ones that are available that supports the best research for snowboarders.-BIG! These are big gloves and if you look at your shadow on the snow while boarding, it will look like you have kitchen mitts on.-Not touch screen compatible (c'mon its 2023 already)Skip the search. If you want to stay safe, I would say get these. Does everyone need wrist protection? Probably not. But I don't want to ruin my season and $70 for me is ok for some level of peace of mind. You should know that NO wrist guard glove/system is full proof. You should still learn how to properly fall and avoid using your wrists to catch your fall. The one thing I noticed is that when you do fall and use your wrists with these on, you kind of get some negative feedback from the glove and if you make note of it, you might just correct your error in time and divert the pressure away from your wrist (think of it almost as a shock collar notification letting you know that you are doing something wrong). I don't fall that often but I still got them.

I snowboard and was scared of hurting my wrists. Purchased these gloves which fit/feel like standard snow gloves (doesn't restrict you when getting up from sitting or walking with your board) but still protect the wrists with back and front metal inserts that are removable if desired. I'm a hand therapist and highly reccommend for my patients!
