Some reviews say it's not 2.5mm, and they are right. But that's not how cables work. Cables are calculated by their square millimeter which is the area.So the section is the area of the cross-section --> r²* pi. For a 2.5 mm², the diameter (Ø) should be ± 1.78 mm². It is 1.95, so it's actually more than 2.5mm,

Can't believe it, 2x4mm copper speaker cable for this price. Good quality wire, no problems stripping the cable ends for my banana plugs (i.e. the wire is good quality and did not break when I used wire strippers). Has certainly improved the sound of my surrounds, noticeably. One of my mates came round to watch some movies, he also noticed the difference from what I had previously.Arrived in good time (a couple of days).Highly recommended by me.Edit: I did post a 3star review, it was wrong as I had wired the speakers out of phase. Apologies.

I run a Pioneer 120w RMS digital amp, with 4 x Yamaha NS-F160's floorstandings (2 speakers per channel). This improved the depth of sound, it also improved the top end and I had to make a very mild adjustment to digital graphic to compensate. When I first installed this cable I used on one channel of stereo only, I spend 3 days switching the balance but this cable actually made the speakers louder. If I had not heard the sound improvement myself I would of been skeptical. If your wanting to get the extra from your amp / speakers without spending more I can't recommend this enough. Don't buy any of the cheap copper cable you see, this cable is worth well above what it sells for. If you care about your audio buy this!

When picking speaker cables, it's usually a simple question of 3 things; electrical conductivity of the material, thickness and cable length. Pure copper is usually the prefer metal as its relatively cheap, has low tarnishing properties and is a good electrical conductor (twice as good as Aluminum but slightly worse than Silver). The thicker and shorter the cables, the better. So thick OFC (oxygen free copper) cables is the most cost effective way to have a good sounding system.I bought the AWG11 (2x4mm squared) cable which produces a smooth, weighty sound with my full size speakers. It's a marked improvement over my old Cambridge Audio SYMPHONY 400 cables for two simple reasons; it is thicker and made from purer copper. However, this cable only JUST fitted my equipment so you should check this first before purchasing. For the money, you can't do better. If you need a thinner cable and money is no object, consider Silver cables such as QED's silver cord range. Just avoid aluminum (or aluminum mixes) as these are usually poor sounding.
