It's says that it supports induction, however the packaging label says it isn't.I've read that since it's pretty thin (2mm), there is a risk that the pan will warp on induction. So I had to return this one.

I have a number of De Buyer, mostly the more expensive ones with the handle that can go in the oven but this is the one I come back to most often.Pros:- Its light and so easy to handle- It's easy to season- Heats up very quickly- Great for a variety of cooking, I do all my eggs, mushrooms and smaller batches of non acidic foods and of corse crepes and pancakes.- Affordable for a life long panCons:- Its not suitable for induction- You have to be careful to not heat it up too quickly and let the heat spread out otherwise you get hot spots on a gas hobTip. If you are moving to carbon pans get your self some chainmail to clean it and dry it by heating it up on the hob and wiping with a super fine layer of vegetable oil before packing away. Using heat to dry means there is no moisture and soon it will be the best non stick you have ever had.

Nice size, heavy. Will take a bit of work to stop it sticking but it is getting there

First of all - the negative reviews that say the pan does not work or is not good are simply not using it properly. Cooking with cast iron or carbon steel is 90% technique and it is simple technique. Keep your stove element LOW! If you have gas, keep it low. If you have electric or induction, you can use low medium. If you use high heat it will stick!!Onto the review:My pan is only one night old - yes I opened it last night and seasoned it with 5 layers of canola oil. Took about 40 minutes with the cool down. You don’t have to be like me, you can just season it with 3 layers or cook immediately. But it’s best if you season it from the start with 5 layers in my opinion.The pan is very light weight and solid construction. Reasonable price in 2022 given inflation. It has a beautiful deep blue steel look. Ben Stiller would be happy.You can go wrong with this pan if you don’t know what you’re doing but a little knowledge and you’ll be SAILING.5/5

Llevo utilizando esta sartén unos cuantos meses y solo puedo hablar bien de ella.Es de hierro, por lo que evitas añadir toxinas innecesarias a la comida y te aseguras tener una buena sartén durante muchos años (espero y confío en que esto será así). Su lavado y mantenimiento es muy sencillo (tan solo calentar agua cuando has terminado de cocinar, frotar sin jabón, secar y untar con aceite).Yo solo la utilizo para preparar crepes en ella (supongo que se podrá usar para más platos) porque es muy sencillo prepararlos en ella: tan solo hay que echar la masa líquida en la sarten, esperar a que se haga y darle la vuelta.Una compra perfecta, 100% recomendable y baratísima (unos 10e cuando yo la compré).
