No idea if it's calibrated but I like the display and the ability to pull the data off the internal storage for viewing and later reviewing on a computer. Could be useful to monitor environmental noise and to track the data over time.

This sound level decibel meter by Gain Express can do so much more than my needs require. The price point on this great rechargable meter makes it a huge value. It certainly has the ability to perform more than my needs like data logging and the ability to measure both DB(a) and DB(c) among other things. My needs are simple but really vital, basically isolating trouble spots in mechanical systems like motors, gears and all sorts of moving parts in the mechanical servicing industry. Si le sonomètre semble fonctionner en revanche l'application étant sensée transférer les données pour les enregistrer sur ordinateur ne fonctionne pas. Elle ne se connecte pas à l'appareil du coup, un appareil qui ne me servira à rien!A n'acheter que pour un usage ponctuel.Aucun enregistrement possible.

This is a pretty good sound meter with reliable readings. I was able to compare the readings to a calibrated meter at work and the averages are within 0.5 db which I think for my general application is good enough. The instructions are very well written and explains the features clearly. One thing I really like about this meter is the ability to record and pull the data off on a computer later. I just wished this came with a carrying case. Although the box should be sufficient as it does have a molded plastic insert for the meter and the accessories.

This is a great portable decibel meter with a really large range. The best thing though is it's about half the size of the one it is replacing, making it extremely portable. It is also usb-c rechargeable, and not a battery hog like our last one. That's just the standard stuff. Functionality wise, this thing is a powerhouse. When connecting to a computer you can get all sorts of data and analysis. This is really an incredible find that I can't suggest enough for musicians, sound engineers, DJs, or anybody who has to be aware of decibel levels, at an extremely reasonable price.
