I had been given one of these before as a gift and it was a must to buy another one as they are so brilliant and attractive to look at. The design is both attractive and excellently functional which is what you look for in a home product. I use mine as a mini ipad support rather than for a book which I might want to hold.

This works well to hold most cookbooks and printed recipes, or a cell phone if using an on-line recipe. It does not work for small, thick cookbooks as the folding holders are too far apart and do not have a tight grasp. It definitely helps protect my books and papers while I am cooking and my kids like using it when they cook on their weekly cooking days.
