This is a nice clock for the garage, man cave type place. Real rubber and a good size. The clock is run by one AA which has a tick-tick-tick drive, but is not particularly noisy. Still, I would have preferred a sweep second hand. The blue LEDs are a bit puzzling. I put three AA batteries in and ran it continuously. It lasted only four days or so. So, I take from that the lighting is just cosmetic and should be switched off for the most part. But the switch is on the back which means you have to take down the clock to switch the blue on or off. Hmmmm. I tried a 4.5v adapter, but the clock managed to destroy my adapter in one day. I really think they should have included an adapter because no one is going to use the 3-battery technique. Other than all that, it's a nice clock that has a head-scratching blue light with it....
