I am very new to wood turning and didn't fancy having to sharpen the normal gouges I have so went for carbide.Very impressed with these carbide tools so far. Used them 3x so far to learn how to turn wood and they are a lot easier to learn that the normal gouges.I was very skeptical get 4 carbide gouges for €99.98 but so far I am very impressed by the quality. The handles seem strong and the stainless steel bar is also strong and sits fast in the wooden handle.The rubber on the handles is also a nice touch.The size of the tools is perfect for my desktop lathe as any longer and I would have to remove the tail stock to hollow out bowls.The tips are also nice and sharp and time will tell how long they stay sharp. I bought a diamond board to so I can always sharpen them.Last but not least is the box they come in, a very nice touch and keeps the tools nicely together.

Nice chunky feel to the handles, easy to control

Pleasantly surprised. Very sharp blades well built tools. I wish the tips were a little larger, but for making boxes and small bowls this would be a nice set. It really sheared the wood very very nice. I would definitely recommend you can't go wrong. Also nice for making a good tenon.

Tools work fine .Price was fair. I like the ability to get replacement blades.
