After placing my order in Amazon I did some research and was overwhelmed with the seemingly negative reviews about the kettle. I saw users criticising the loudness of the device, the lid-opening mechanism and the overall cooking time. I was so shocked I considered cancelling the order. In the end I decided to give it a try and return it if reviews proved right. I must say, from my experience so far I dont think the bad reviews are justified. The kettle boils with the normal sound levels for a kettle but it's not any different or worse from any other. The lid opens just fine, it's meant to be slightly tilted and fix one side before the other. The water boils fairly fast. The kettle is warm to touch, as is any other kettle (contains boiling water!). I will pay attention to any problems but so far it’s been a very decent purchase with excellent design (albeit expensive)

My induction stove boils water much quicker. Delonghi dissappointed me!

Superb kettle, beautiful colour. Does not spill when pouring, does not take too much time to boil.I was scared the lid would be hard to open, but it is actually pretty alright.I love it !

I’m over the moon with this purchase! I have been on the look out for this Icona Vintage Kettle as still out of stock from main stores until I’ve come across this one in amazon. I was hesitant at first because of the bad reviews and the huge drop in price. I thought I’d give it a go and would return if anything goes wrong. My purchase has just arrived now and I don’t regret one bit! The design is impressive as expected. So chic and aesthetically pleasing and would make a very good addition to any kitchen. I bought the “Used-but good as new” for £61 as I’m guessing these are the returned ones. It wasn’t used at all, you can tell because of the intact packaging, no marks of being used or any scratches. The main issue was the EU plug and all I did was buy a three-point adaptor from Amazon which I've included in the picture if anyone’s interested and it worked perfectly! It's a huge kettle with a capacity of 1.7L which any family of 4-5 would benefit from. Only took 5 minutes to boil a full capacity. It's lightweight as well despite the very durable look. Very high quality looking! If there's any downside to this is that the stainless steel body can get very hot, ‘would be very cautious if there are any children around. It makes a proper boiling kettle sound as well which can be a petty issue for some people but I don't mind at all. It has an auto shut-off feature and doesn't make a sound when done. I hope this would help, now go buy your dream kettle!
