My 9 year old daughter who weighs 55 lbs has taken it on a couple of short day hikes just to break it in. It's about twice the weight of a mid- to high-end adult ultralight backpack. My scale has it at 39.51 oz vs my KS60 , which has about 3x the storage capacity and only weighs 20.78 oz on the same scale. The upside of it is that it can be adjusted down to her size, which is worth a few extra ounces. It also looks and feels durable so it should be able to be handed down over the years as your child grows into an adult pack.

La marca nunca defrauda. Comprada para una niña de 9 años, le queda un poco grande, pero la puede usar (la cintura le ajusta, que es lo importante) y así le dura más tiempo. No lleva funda de protección para la lluvia, pero se compra una adicional y se puede guardar en alguno de los compartimentos.

Für Kinder ist dieser Rucksack sehr geeignet, man kann das Rückenteil individuell an die Größe anpassen. Super finde ich auch, dass man den Rucksack von unten beladen kann. Er hat genug extra Staufächer, z.b. am Hüftgurt. Verarbeitung wir gewohnt top.

Fantastic product from a great manufacturer w/ an incredible lifetime warranty. Would have given 5 stars but having shipping delayed twice and arriving a week later than initially stated. Just purchase factory direct if no other vendor available.

Good as daypack for winter hikes or multi-day summer camping.Compresible, so it is comfortable from empty to full.It provides more volume than what you can load a 10yo with, but it give the flexibility to carry large items (think spare winter clothing during day hike in the snow or rain).I have two 10yo and two of these backpacks. No issues so far.
