I used these to put up some magnetic tool holder strips.In a UK brick and mortar garage.I found that a 4mm drill seemed slightly better than the 5mm recommended.Dewalt do a really good one, 3 sided flats on the shank.But any old masonry capable drill bit would do the jobI have subsequently attached loads and loads of hand tools to the Magnetic strips.I found a large bench where they had been.No sign of any problems, and so much less faffing about than wall plugs.Probably not important to most DIYers but these screws are designed to stay in place during a fire, plugs aren't..

Used these to fasten pattress boxes and conduit to dry wall and breezblock. I had read previous reviews about dry wall getting ripped up, I suggest just using a hand held screwdriver for dry wall as these screws have a very fast worm thread and can easily be over screwed with a powered driver..
