I've been a fan of braces for many years and have used every possible formal opportunity, from my children's weddings to my work's Christmas party, to wear them.Now, after some three months in lockdown and being reduced to wearing mainly t-shirts, shorts and sandals, I thought "let's not let standards slip" so why not try the braces again with casual attire?This was particularly topical, as my favourite cargo shorts are slightly on the large side and my wife ticks me off at the first sight of "builder's bottom".So, tried them whilst wearing my lockdown casual style today and I think they look great.Even though they give a vaguely Lederhosen-ish appearance, I promise you I feel no urge whatsoever to start singing Tomorrow Belongs To Me.They clip on easily and grip very well. The buckles on the front two straps make adjusting the length nice and simple.Above all, they look great and keep my cargo shorts well supported, so no more constructor's cleavage, plumber's posterior, artisan's a*** etc!
