DIGIFLEX Behuizing voor 2,5 inch IDE harde schijven met USB-poort voor laptop en pc

The included cable didn't work - the drive was appearing and then disappearing. Luckily I had another cable laying around.Plugging in the drive took quite some force and I was worried I will damage or break something. Worked out at the end but if you need to change drives frequently it's worth keeping in mind.There was a little spongy sticker included with no explanation what to use it for. I imagine it's to keep the drive separated from the metal enclosure and avoid shorting the circuitry. Instead of using it, I used a piece of paper under the drive instead.Finally I placed the screws in the enclosure - took some pushing and effort to actually make the thread in the plastic.Still first day, but in the end things are working, but a few hoops to jump - the broken cable especially is a serious issue.It's a cheap item, and I get that you get what you pay for, but at least the product should be tested and working before selling it. Thus 2/5 stars.

Um aus einer alten Notebook Festplatte eine externe Festplatte zu machen, kaufte ich das DIGIFLEX Gehäuse. Die Festplatte lies sich sehr leicht einbauen und ich habe keinerlei Bedenken, dass der Festplatte in dem Gehäuse etwas zustoßen könnte. Das Gehäuse ist aus Metall, so dass die Festplatte wirklich gut geschützt ist. Die Qualität ist für diesen Preis sehr gut, lediglich bei dem Zubehör könnte man evtl. meckern. Der mitgelieferte Schraubenzieher ist wahrscheinlich nach der ersten Verwendung nicht mehr zu gebrauchen (ich habe einen eigenen benutzt, von daher handelt es sich bei dieser Aussage nur um eine Vermutung und fließt nicht in die Bewertung mit ein) und die Nähte der mitgelieferten Hülle haben sich nach dem dritten herausziehen der Festplatte angefangen zu lösen.Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Gehäause und vergebe 5 Sterne.Vor-/Nachteile:+ sehr robustes Gehäuse+ gute Qualität des Gehäuses+ schickes Design (an den Seiten leicht abgerundet)+ leichter Einbau der Festplatte0 Nähte der mitgelieferten Hülle lösen sich (zur Zeit nur ein wenig)- mitgelieferter Schraubenzieher schlechte Qualität

Fácil de montar. Incluye destornillador adecuado.Funciona correctamente.

Obudowa wygląda solidnie za tą cenę. Trzeba jedynie uważać na fakt że to do dysków IDE. Ja tego nie zauważyłem i musiałem zwrócić.

Cheap and it shows. The fit and finish is beyond poor, they do no line up very well and the hard drive will rattle inside. I had to make my own foam padding to get things to fit better.

Great value and very easy to use.Plug drive in to plasic end section; slide drive with end section into metal case; fit two tiny screws to secure plastic end section into metal case. Done. The only tricky bit is fitting the tiny screws. A small screwdriver is supplied but it is actually a bit too small (loose in the screw head). The screwdriver is just about good enough for the purpose but if you have a set of small screwdrivers it would be better to use your own.It is a perfectly acceptable little enclosure. Not oozing quality and class, but not at all tacky or flimsy either. Aluminium casing will help to dissipate heat but the supplied leatherette sleeve will help to keep the heat in. (Ha ha). In fact, 2.5" drives don't produce a lot of heat anyway.One thing that foxed me for a moment was that although the drive was detected as a USB device, it didn't show up as a logical drive until I manually asigned it a drive letter (using Windows XP) I'm not sure why that is. This is the first time I have tried putting an IDE drive into a USB caddy so, for all I know that's completely normal - and was certainly no problem - but I have a similar USB caddy with a SATA drive in it and that gets assigned a drive letter automatically and dynamically as soon as it is plugged in. As I say I'm not too familiar with these things. It could have been because the drive wasn't formatted before I used it - or not formatted in a way recognisable to Windows. (It had been used in a Linux machine previously.) Of course, now I have assigned a drive letter it shows up straight away but I'm not sure what would happen if I plugged it into someone else's computer. It might not show up as a browseable drive straight away.All in all, the product is just fine. Well worth the £6 or whatever it cost.
