I had many, mostly more costly, SPL meters in the past decades. My previous one was broken after 20 (!!) years of intensive usage. So I was looking for a decent alternative for less than €60,- I was aware that I won’t get the same performance and quality like my old SPL meter, but what this ‘manufacturer’ sells is pure trash. Cheap components, difficult to calibrate properly, slow readings and the overall build quality is crap. This is trash people. Don’t waste your money on this SPL meter. My recommendation? Install a paid decibel meter application on your iPhone. Or a free one. They are far more accurate than any affordable SPL meter.

Belle finition du produit. Très bonne réactivité aux sons. Les mesures diffèrent par rapport à un smartphone mais quel est la précision d’un smartphone. Dommage la notice est en anglais , pas de précision de branchement de la prise jack se terminant par 2 fils dénudés. Un petit explicatif sur la façon de prendre les mesures (appareil à la verticale ou horizontal) aurait été un plus

Ein einfaches Gerät, das genau das macht was es soll. Ob die Werte die es ausgibt verlässlich sind, kann ich nicht sagen. Aber da es immer in der selben Umgebung eingesetzt wird , reicht es um zu sagen, ist lauter als gestern bzw kannst noch lauter stellen. (Soundcheck in einer Kirche)

This Noise meter arrived next day for me with Amazon Prime, I must also explain that I review 3d printers and some can every noisy so this tool is great for measuring this and is much better and more accurate than a phone app.

The device comes in a medium sized plastic protective case with windshield 9v battery, screwdriver and electrical connector to plug into a frequency analyser.
 it is rugged and light weight, it features a backlight for when you are in low light level and is very bright, the lcd screen updates very fast and is large and readable.This sound meter also has a Frequency weighted selection switch A/C to select the amount of noise detected.

It has two settings for sound reading fast or slow and a range setting, the buttons are easy to use, it has a good robust finish.It can measures up to 130db 100db is dangerous for the human ear. Overall this is a product I am very pleased with and is actually a lot better than I expected.

I would recommend it if you have concerns about noise near children to protect their hearing, noisy neighbours of your hosting events with noise limits.
