Been using this everyday to check the temperature of my solar water heater. It's been a welcoming addition.

Comprato per tenere sotto controllo la temperatura in un forno raku auto-costruito. Siccome non ho un altro termometro per temperature elevate, non ho modo di controllore l'effettivo valore rilevato, ma ciò nonostante, le ceramiche prodotte sono ben riuscite. Ottima anche la possibilità di sostituire il cavetto con con una sonda rigida.I contro sono che le istruzioni sono solo in cinese, dovendo quindi tradurle da soli, e in più, le batterie fornite in dotazioni, sono giunte scariche e ammaccate.

For the price, it does the job. Very basic features: only Celcius, on/off button, battery status. There's one more indicator on the screen but I don't know what it means and the instructions are in Chinese. I measured the temperature of rolling boil water and my alcohol thermometer (used in research labs) showed 100 C exactly. My cooking digital thermometer showed 98-99 C and this unit showed 97-98 C. You have to remember to add a few degrees to the measurement and not to consider it accurate, but a reasonable ballpark instead. If I wanted great accuracy I'd expect to pay a lot more but this will do the job for me. We will see if it holds up over time.
