No pattern!! With my thick glasses, I have to rely on the printed foto on the cover picture! You have to guess where is the middle from the picture so it will be in the centre… I cannot teach my daughter either without a pattern as it’s much easier to understand when explained from a pattern paper even if it’s just a small picture… how can you can you call it a “kit” of or doesn’t have a pattern to follow ?

Want to learn to cross-stitch? This is perfect for the non-octogenarian beginning stitcher. (Sewer?) The mario design comes out really well, and the kit came with enough thread to complete the design with room for error. I had never in my entire life held a needle for sewing, and I completed this in a day.The instructions are just one page front and back that explains the basics of cross-stitching. It doesn't explain certain things like how to tie off your thread behind the pattern, but in terms of putting the design into cloth, this will give everything you need to know. It is also led to another more intermediate kit purchase. :)

El dibujo no viene impreso en la tela para guiarse, lo que hace que tu tengas que estar viendo el papel de instrucciones y calcular dónde va cada punto, esto hace que sea mas lento tu trabajo. Por lo demás está muy lindo y queda precioso

I was a tad intimidated at first, but it was really easy and enjoyable once I got going. It turned out really well and my husband loved it!

This is my first time cross stitching, and I think I'm hooked. Comes with plenty of floss and fabric. There's enough there that I could probably stitch two Marios with it if I wanted, but I guess they put so much in there because the kit is made for kids and they gave a little extra in case they goofed or something; for an adult like me, it's more than enough, which is nice. Would be nice if the pattern was in colour, but I used the picture on the front of the package and it was fine. I might try to make up some sort of background for it later so I can frame it (probably Super Mario World level 1-1). The instructions are clear enough as long as you watch a few cross stitch tutorials on YouTube first to get an idea of the basics. $13 is a bit much imo, but overall I'm pretty pleased with my purchase.
