I'm very much enjoying stitching this design. I can't comment on whether there is too much or too little thread yet, but if I need to buy more, then so be it. It doesn't make me love it any less. It's a beautiful kit, and I'm enjoying seeing it develop. I would, and indeed have, recommend this to others who like a bit of a challenge!

This kit was a little overwhelming when I got it, since I didn't closely read that it was done on 18ct aida and was 10x14. Finally I sat down and just went through it. It combines single threads for more colors, uses half cross stitch for effect, and uses gold thread and couching. All of these come together for a beautiful finished project that will be cherished by an appreciative couple. I was very pleased when I saw it from a few feet back where the lines blur a bit and it just looks wonderful. There was plenty of thread in the kit. I thought at one point I ran out of the green and needed more for the lettering. I called Dimensions and ordered more for free, it was very easy and I got the thread a few days later. Fortunately, I found the extra I had cut off and forgotten where I put it so I didn't need it in the end. But if you ever need more, Dimensions will send it very quickly. I've used Dimensions kits of all kinds and I admit I prefer theirs over others. A bit of advice- use a frame of some kind while working any needlepoint. I prefer a scroll frame so you don't get the circle creases in finished fabric.

This is a very complicated kit. All excellent quality but quite a lot of detail which you have to transfer bit by bit from the pattern to the fabric. I marked out the centre lines at the start and began with the dolphins then added the surround gradually.
