It is simple enough for younger kids to use independently once they get the hang of the buttons and offers enough variety to keep them entertained for quite some time. It is a thoughtful gift idea, especially when paired with some drawing supplies.

The Dessineo Drawing Studio is a very clever way to teach youngsters to draw.The board takes three AAA batteries which are not included, so be mindful of this if giving it as a gift and think about buying the batteries to go with it too. The battery compartment is on the reverse of the board and is the long, thin strip at the bottom. I mention this as it's not mentioned where the battery compartment is in the instructions, and it might not be immediately obvious to some people. It's secured with a screw, so a small screwdriver is needed to access the battery compartment, which is standard for all battery operated toys of today.The concept of this board is actually really good. The board contains 20 drawing cards of three difficulty levels as indicated by one, two or three stars at the bottom of each card. Each picture is drawn in three stages.To use, place a card on the board and a piece of paper over the card. Flick the switch to the first position. The board lights up red and the first set of lines show up. Trace over the lines with a drawing implement (pen, pencil, felt tip etc). Next, flick the switch to position two and the board lights up green revealing the next set of lines to trace. Finally, flick the switch to the third position and the board lights up blue, revealing the last set of lines to trace. Now the picture is complete and can be coloured in if desired.It's a foolproof way to teach and encourage children to draw. The board itself is sturdy and well-made and doesn't feel like it will fall apart in five minutes.It's actually really good, and all of my grandchildren love it. My only slight niggle is that it would have been nice if a small pad of paper and set of pens were included in the box to get you started, but they are not, so your own paper and pens are needed. That said, anyone with kids/grandkids usually has pens and paper around the place.Given the low price point of £16.99 at the time of this review, I think it's very good value for money. It would make a great gift. If I were going to give it as a gift however, I might also add a pad of paper and set of pens too to go with it, as well as the batteries.

This drawing board came well packaged and I think it could be a nice gift for children. The board is made of plastic material which seems to be strong, durable, it is lightweight, easy to use and doesn't have sharp edges. The package also included 20 different templates which through the light children can learn step by step how to draw something which is very entertaining for them, it teaches and develops their knowledge a lot. With this drawing board children can spend several hours of fun and being small and light we can take it with us everywhere especially if we have to make long trips by car. It should be borne in mind that the board works with batteries which were not included and also the pen was not included. My son liked this drawing board and spent a lot of time drawing on it. The price seems reasonable.

Marvelous for any buffing artist age 4+.The Grandchildren love this so easy to use they can do it themselves.20 different designs and 3 easy steps to complete the picture.Hours of fun, super happy with this product.Pity the batteries weren't included.I recommend this.
