Note that these units require the backlite to be powered up to be able to see the alpha/numeric displays. Not a problem, unless you are going to run these units on a 9 Volt battery. Power drain of the Arduino Nano and the LCD backlight measures 45 MilliAmperes.

Good quality boards with a screen of 16x2 characters, white text on blue lit background.Boards only, no connector pins or spacers provided.No instructions. Research how to connect and program for your Arduino or Pi board.2 provided.I have one providing output for a program on a Raspberry Pi 3, and I’m pleased with it so far.

Display is as described. Requires user to solder pin headers to unit. Will need to research wiring instructions / directions. The backlight eats up a lot of power. I was using a 9 volt battery and it was drained in only a few hours of constant use. I am now using a 5 volt wall adapter to power the Arduino project, so problem solved.

Very good displays. Crisp with good contrast. White text on blue background, very sharp and eye catching.I test both displays and both worked, it's expected of course but never know.Worked well with the LiquidCrystal library for Arduino.Two lines by 16 characters each.Competitively priced at round $15 for two with a $1 potential coupon discount (at the time of this review).Very good for the adept DIYer. Can't wait to use these in my next project!
