I used this for an Aura smart weather forecast display. It worked really well for that. Bright, clear display with a workable touch sensor. It comes with a micro USB connector, I'd have preferred a USB C connector.

I have always wanted to add "smart features" to my DIY Arduino projects. However, that often requires using a microcontroller (Arduino etc.) then physically attaching a screen. This is not a huge deal but it still requires soldering, mounting etc. With this display , you're getting an ESP32 board and all of its benefits along with a pre-mounted LCD touchscreen. So, I am now able to just send my code to the board and it's ready to go into my project. If only it were that simple! LOL! You will need to do some research because you will have to configure some setup files, get some libraries and realize what the strength and weaknesses are.Basically, the screen being attached is nice BUT you'll have fewer I/O pins to use for other components because the screen will require the majority of them. There are ways around this limitation but again you'll need to do some research. I will provide this excellent resource though, if you search ESP32-2432S028R setup guide and look for ESP32 Cheap Yellow Display Board, you'll get an excellent resource for getting this going! If nothing else, just realize that this is not plug-n-play, but it has a growing community and it will become easier to find useful support and resources. The price of this board is standard given the current economic state; however, I would like to see it a little lower. All-in-all, I love it and will be getting more!

Until I got a look at this when it showed up at the house and saw some of the example code online, I'd never heard of what I now know is called, Cheap Yellow Display Board. This thing is excellent. Just seeing it boot up to the example screens blew me away. Then I started testing out various sample codes online.Put simply, I'm in love.I'm actively trying to think of where and how I can put this thing to work immediately. The kit comes with a power supply & wall wort. You get one serial connector with cables for wiring (two would have been nice, but I'm not going to ding this). The board & screen of course, and a little plastic pen to work in more detail with the screen.Everything worked great. It was easy to program. It offered way more functionality than I honestly expected. I wish I could give it six stars.
