Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but this did not work at all (used ink pad made for embossing and heat gun).

Embossing powder good would definitely recommend

works great, looks great. good cover and I was able to re-use the bits that did not stick to the glue. Very good looking black. Had to apply three coats, but after that it looked like a real little carpet on the floor of my model builds. Lovely product and should last a long time as you only need a little at a time. The container is plastic and the top needs to be screwed on well to protect from spilling. So just double check that each time you use this.
