Doctor Who - Season 22 Limited Edition Blu-Ray

This season has 13 episodes. By Contrast, Tom Baker's 1st season, season 12, had 20 episodes, and it was housed in a 6 disc set. Also stuffed to capacity. This season, season 22, with a 13 episode count has 8 discs in its box. That alone should tell you the level of exhaustive detail the bonus features and added value that was put into this season. I haven't had time to check it all, but the 3 Matthew Sweet interviews are gonna be priority one for sure. It's almost like the episodes are the least relevant items on these boxes, and the added value features are the true reason to buy these, as the definitive chronicle of a landmark institution. I was glad to see that this time the disk spindle was properly glued to the bottom of the box. Let's hope it keeps that way. The front of the box has a very small bump on the left upper corner, but, considering everything that I experienced with some of the other sets, that's pretty mild. I eagerly await the next box set, whatever season it may be. Hoping for a 4th or 5th doctor season next.

Before I get started just keep in mind the fact that this isn’t a review of the actual stories in this box set, rather the physical set itself. I have no problem with this season, as a matter of fact I love the two doctors, but these things just happen all the time to these sets. Anyways,For the people like me who have been trying to collect these sets this might just be a standard experience, but I’m just gonna leave this review for anyone who might not know about this. THESE BOX SETS ARE FRAGILE. Mine came with the disc holder completely detached. The glue contacts that hold the disc trey in tend to just wear off if you handle them too rough. This set came like this, my season 24 came like this, and my season 17 eventually did this. Either be careful with how you handle these, or keep some extra glue contacts around.

Good on all points another brilliant Blu ray collection release from Colin’s only real proper crack at playing the Dr what with the following season The Trial of a Timelord 14 parter which was disappointing after being off screen for 18mths.High standards on restoration in picture and sound with the usual many many quality extras⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A brilliantly underrated season from a brilliantly underrated Doctor. For my money, this is THE best season of 80s Who and Colin is THE best 80's Doctor. I truly hope his era gets reevaluated with this release.Colin is in top form here! He IS the Doctor. Vengeance on Varos and Revelation of the Daleks are two of the very best Doctor Who stories in the entire history of the show!! Yes, you read that right. They are the best of the best! Brilliant stuff!
