The modules are delivered with CR2032 batteries, but the circuitry _requires_ a rechargeable LIR2032 battery. The CR2032 WILL break pretty fast when charged in this module. I don't know how the battery fails (fire, leakage, short circuit?), and I do not want to find out.The picture on the ad shows a LIR2032 battery, unfortunately I missed that the text said it is delivered with CR2032. A very misleading picture and a very bad battery choice!

I bought these purely because I've worked with the DS1307 before and know how to code for it. It's not the most accurate RTC out there, and will drift over time, but it's an inexpensive one to play around with and does the job well enough.I'll be switching over to DS3231 in a future iteration of my project's design, as they're much more accurate in the long term (and long term's important for this one), but the DS1307 at least tells me my code's working. Worth getting, if just to experiment and learn with even if you don't use them in your final project.
