Works exactly as described. Only thing that it doesn't tell you is that the adaptor holds the longer M.2 2280 in via a clip rather than a screw. Once you figure that out you just plug in the adapter and screw it to the original M.2 port and screw hole, mount your 2280 M.2, clip it in and perform cloud recovery. The M.2 drive is recognised immediately by the Rog Ally and I've been able to download, install onto and run windows 11 and run games from my upgraded M.2 drive with no issues.
