My 40th anniversary squire has a factory anodized aluminum pick guard but plastic rear cover. I didn't like the mismatch. Color is close but noticably different from the fender pickguard side by side.This fit is great and the difference in color isn't super noticeable on the back. At least a better match than the plastic one from the factory.So if you also are in the same boat, I think it's an improvement but if you're more OCD than me, you might want something else.

Fit pretty much exactly on my Jackson Dinky. Love that it's aluminum and black. I might find the other cover panels in aluminum for this guitar.

The product arrived on time and looked exactly as advertised. All of the bolt holes are beveled and came it with a set of chrome screws.I would have given 5-Stars but the outside edge is extremely sharp. It is a 90-degree without a bevel and snags on my shirt. I will bevel or round edge myself, but that should have been done at the factory in my opinion.
