Because the leather is soft and thinner than regular doc Martens there is no pain in breaking them in. there has been a little bit of room since breaking them in but not so much that I have to wear thick socks.Wear and tearI have been wearing them for almost every day for a couple months and the silver paint has worn off at the toes at the heels as well as on the sides. I am a little disappointed at this. I bought them on sale and they were a great deal but just know that you might have to reapply leather paint on them after wearing them for some time.Pricebecause I bought these at a 75% reduced price during the holidays, the deal was great. I decided to purchase these because they were sold out in stores and online and I really loved the style as I was looking for quality leather silver metallic boots. I was able to also get free shipping so really the cost at the end of the day was just of the boots themselves.Overall opinionthey are great for everyday wear. They don't hurt to break in because the leather is soft. The only problem is that the paint or off and now I have to make a point of repainting them.
