As the title says, these strings are mostly to show off at a gig, not for studio or home rehearsal. The coating can peel of off within a long live concert if you use pick. If you use fingers only, maybe one could get a good looking and sounding strings for 3 liveshows, but no more. The coating is somewhat sticky also, so its not a bad idea to use beewax on your fingers. BUT it looks cool, and thats the point of these strings
